That the House of Representatives urge the Government to specify more detailed comprehensive performance requirements for all of the Reserve Bank's functions; require the Treasury to assess, and publish its assessment of, the RBNZ and its board's performance; and engage independent expert reviews of key RBNZ functions on a regular basis.

Petition reason

I consider the RBNZ (particularly since 2018) has failed in its core performance including not keeping inflation within the target band due to policy errors and its asset purchase program incurring massive debt. I believe it has increased its staffing and expenditure excessively. In my view, it has eroded its management quality and research capability. I think its Board has been ineffective. In my view, the RBNZ and its board need to be subject to more transparency, scrutiny, and accountability.
