That the House of Representatives extend the current exemption in section 8(6A) of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1975 to all patients and their providers for all documented painful and debilitating conditions, not just for palliation.
Petition reason
Under the current law there is an exemption for patients who are nearing the end of their life to access cannabis products that may ease their suffering. We are calling for an extension to this exemption to include all patients and their providers.
