That the House of Representatives urge the Government to recognise ageing as a disease and increase funding for anti-ageing and longevity medicinal research.

Petition reason

I believe: recognition of ageing as a disease would streamline future support, advance research, and help prevent and manage end of life health burden costs; this recognition would help people live longer without the health risks associated with ageing and maintain a higher quality of life; increased funding in longevity research would help keep the labour force and contribute towards future-oriented policy making where longer lifespans support long-term policy such as climate change.
