That the House of Representatives remove Natural Health Products (NHP) from the Therapeutic Products Act.
Petition reason
We believe: there is insufficient evidence of harm caused by NHPs; the regulatory body structure and purpose is too cumbersome and expensive given the low-risk of NHPs; the Act will make proactive healthcare unaffordable, inequitable, and limit consumer choice; regulation costs will be passed on to consumers through increased prices on NHPs; the Act will not increase safety and will place a significant additional burden on our already stressed healthcare system.
