Petition request
That the House of Representatives allow the use of COVID-19 rapid antigen testing as an alternative way for unvaccinated Kiwis to access workplaces, schools, maraes, large gatherings, places of worship, etc, and note that 87,268 people have signed a petition to this effect.
Petition reason
We believe a divided society with a 'no jab no job' mandate does not sit well with many New Zealanders - even those who support the vaccine programme. Under current law, New Zealanders may be excluded from their job, community and family events, education, and other places because they have chosen out of good conscience not to be vaccinated. In our view, it's just not the Kiwi way. We believe we need a cautious and flexible approach that targets the disease without targeting the unity of Kiwis.
