That the House of Representatives introduce compulsory KiwiSaver enrolment from birth, reinstate the $1,000 KiwiSaver kick-start, and increase government contributions.
Petition reason
New Zealand faces retirement insecurity, housing pressures, inflation, and wealth inequality. I believe beginning KiwiSaver at birth would maximise decades of compound investment growth and give every child equal access to long-term wealth building. I suggest reinstating the $1,000 kick-start and restoring stronger government contributions would strengthen financial resilience, reduce future pressure on superannuation and welfare systems, and increase national savings and economic stability.
