Petition request
That the House of Representatives bans dog shock collars.
Petition reason
I believe shock collars are cruel, and unnecessary in dog training and behaviour modification because they cause confusion, psychological distress to dogs, increased cortisol levels (stress hormones), and unhealthy increases in heart rates. Veterinary professionals and welfare associations are against the use of them, as they are completely unethical. I believe we need to stop the sale of these devices, as there are much less aversive methods.
