That the House of Representatives urge the Government to fund Keytruda for early stage triple negative breast cancer (TNBC), as recommended by Pharmac’s Cancer Treatments Advisory Committee in October 2023
Petition reason
Pharmac received the application for Keytruda for early TNBC in November 2022—yet it remains under assessment. In October 2023, Pharmac’s clinical advisors recommended Keytruda be funded for both early & advanced TNBC. In July 2024, Pharmac opened consultation about funding Keytruda for advanced TNBC. New data has confirmed Keytruda’s effectiveness in preventing early TNBC from becoming incurable. However, two years after the initial request, early TNBC is still not funded.
