That the House of Representatives halt the proposed expansion of Road User Charges to all vehicles and retain the current fuel tax system for light vehicles, and urge the Government to undertake public consultation and an independent economic impact assessment before any changes are implemented.

We are concerned the proposed expansion of Road User Charges to all vehicles will significantly increase cost-of-living pressures on households and small businesses, add compliance complexity, and disproportionately impact rural and high-mileage drivers.
