That the House of Representatives urge the Government to recognise Khalistan as a separate, sovereign Sikh state; and raise this matter in the United Nations.

Petition reason

I believe that Sikhs have wanted Khalistan to be recognised as a separate nation for centuries. It is every person's right to have freedom, as well as religious and human rights. I want the NZ Government to recognise Khalistan as an independent nation from India because I believe that would enable Sikhs to live freely, safely, and without fear or unfair breach of human rights. I would like the NZ Government to also raise with the UN my view that India treats minorities like Sikhs badly.
