That the House of Representatives urge the Government to allocate more funding towards all hospitals, mental health facilities, and counselling services for people in New Zealand.
Petition reason
Too many people, including myself, are fed up with the way we are treated in the health sector regarding mental health. I have witnessed people admitted to psychiatric wards due to suicide attempts and being discharged a handful of days after as we do not have the space or capacity. People are put on hold with the crisis team, and others wait months to see someone to then unfortunately take their lives. Many have seen this first hand. We need reform and resources urgently.
