That the House of Representatives urge the Government to withdraw New Zealand from the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
Petition reason
In the interest of national sovereignty, I argue that decisions impacting New Zealand’s domestic policies, resource management, and economic framework should remain entirely under local democratic control, independent of international frameworks. I believe the agenda is a major long-term policy shift, and should be subjected to explicit domestic debate and voter mandates. I also think there are regulatory requirements tied to these global goals that create unnecessary local compliance costs.
