That the House of Representatives establish and fund an independent agency to investigate and publicly report on commercial practices that significantly restrict access to essential services, cash, face-to-face support, or other facilities that many people need to participate in everyday life.

Petition reason

Some businesses are replacing in-person services and cash with automated, digital-only or cashless systems. I am concerned that these changes could people without reliable digital access, and that their wider social effects may go unmeasured. I suggest that an independent agency could investigate these impacts, report publicly and recommend protections. My aim is not to oppose innovation or profit, but to ensure commercial decisions do not impose unreasonable costs on the public.
