Petition request

That the House of Representatives urge the Government to ban all rodeo events in New Zealand.

Petition reason

I believe rodeos are events that exploit animals for entertainment. International research and New Zealand animal welfare organisations say that rodeos create unnecessary stress and suffering to the animals involved. In my opinion, the code of welfare for rodeos is also inadequate, due to the nature of rodeos being inherently stressful for the animals involved.
