Petition request

That the House of Representatives urge the Prime Minister to propose to invite exiled Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi to address the House about developments in Iran.

Petition reason

I think developments in Iran—including Iran’s involvement in the war in Ukraine—are relevant to New Zealand’s foreign policy and security interests. I consider that these developments have implications for global stability and New Zealand’s diplomatic and security settings. I suggest that an address by exiled Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi would provide Members of Parliament with perspectives on developments in Iran, supporting informed consideration of international issues relevant to New Zealand.
