That the House of Representatives increase funding for public mental health services and offer increased subsidies for private mental health care options, overall increasing the resources available for people who are struggling with their mental health.

Petition reason

I believe New Zealand has a mental health crisis that has continued to take its toll for years; that the systems are broken and the Government needs to take action. I believe that, by increasing funding for both public and private mental health services, we can provide more resources and different care, relieve pressure on the current systems and provide private care for a wider group of people. I believe that the support systems aren’t good enough and that the people of Aotearoa deserve better.
