Petition reason
The reason for this petition is to protect young people from being exposed to gambling-like mechanics in video games, such as loot boxes and random reward systems. These features can encourage bad spending habits and may contribute to unhealthy gambling behaviours at an early age. Introducing age restrictions would help ensure that children and teenagers are protected from potential financial and psychological harm.
