That the House of Representatives impose mandatory drug testing every 6 months for: all members of Parliament, Parliamentary Service staff, Office of the Clerk staff, accredited parliamentary media, and contractors on the parliamentary precinct; all elected members and staff of local councils; and all validly nominated candidates for election.

Petition reason

I believe that drug testing is necessary to ensure that legislative decisions, public policy, and parliamentary operations are conducted with complete integrity, sound judgment, and free from the influence of illicit substances; and to maintain high standards of public trust, safety, and accountability across all levels of government by ensuring key leaders and staff are unimpaired while performing their duties.
