That the House of Representatives urge the Government to allow for the partner and children of temporary work visa holders who are currently working and residing in New Zealand to travel to New Zealand to be reunited as a family unit.
Petition reason
Children are vulnerable individuals who deserve to have their rights respected and protected by the only people in society powerful enough to do so - adults. Children have the right to live in a family environment and to have contact with both parents who are relied upon for nurture and guidance, have the right to education and should not be deprived of this or their liberty in being refused to return to their homes.
