That the House of Representatives prohibit the use of the colour red, or similar colours, on or in all pharmacy shop buildings to prevent confusion with the Red Cross emblem.
Petition reason
We believe that this would give an added benefit to the Red Cross emblem's power to protect in times of natural and man-made disasters. In our view, in these circumstances there is a tendency for the emergency to cause mental trauma that leads to confusion and irrational thinking. As red is the key colour of the Red Cross emblem which represents free, neutral humanitarian help to the injured, not usually at pharmacies, we think it is wise to reserve it for those carers who work under the emblem.
