Petition request

That the House of Representatives require government agencies who send mail to citizens to allow five working days after the postmark date before any timeframe given to the recipient to respond can begin; and require all official mail to be signed by a named, reachable public servant.

Petition reason

I believe citizens choosing non-digital communication should not face any disadvantage. I think government agencies must adapt to the pace of physical mail. I believe automated, vague, or incorrect correspondence causes severe distress. I think citizens have a right to be offline without facing artificial urgency or digital coercion.
